Stroer Wedding

I had the honor of being in the wedding for 2 of my college friends last weekend and it was a blast! I met the couple in college when my boyfriend joined the groom’s fraternity. The groom was his “big brother” and the bride soon became my “big sister.” They have been together for 12 years so family, friends, and the couple have been waiting for this day for a long time. Celebrating the union of these two was awesome. I can’t imagine 2 people more meant for each other.

Recently, my dad gave me his old Pentax K1000 and I have developed a major interest in photography. So I decided that a beautiful wedding would be the perfect time to take lots of pictures. Plus, I don’t think you could ever take too many pictures of a bride and groom. I managed to get several excellent shots with my Canon point and shoot and the Pentax. I can’t wait to learn more and more skills.

I love this grandma advice moment that I captured.

I didn’t get any at the ceremony since I was standing up there. But their amazing photographers at d-Squared Designs took some beautiful photos throughout the whole day.

The happy couple enjoyed some quiet time before the reception.

After the stress of planning, the bride and groom definitely partied the night away at their swanky reception in the nightclub at the Ameristar Casino in St. Charles, MO.

This one might be one of my favorites. They’re recreating an engagement photo with a stand-in for their dog. I love my goofy friends.

Best way to end a spectacular night? By rocking out to Journey!

Thank you Leah & Kevin for letting me be a part of your big day!
